Eye-Boning: The Importance of a Viable, Stimulating Appearance

Ladies and gentlemen,

Sex sells.

We know this. It’s used in ads for almost every concievable product on the planet, from soap (which we know is the one thing that makes sexy happen):

…to freshly delicious and cavity-inducing Coca-Cola:

Wait, there's soda in this ad? Where?

So, with that in mind, the concept also extends to webpages. I have some experience in designing a visually appealing site, and I fully realize that no one will read (let alone recommend) our new venture here at Three Yards if the site looks like a steaming pile of Triceratops shit.

Something tells me you've been neglecting your fiber...

There are many visual themes available here at WordPress, and I’ve been tinkering with a few of them, but I haven’t quite found one that really fits. Important factors include being able to label posts by author, which oddly isn’t included with every theme. I find this makes identifying who to direct your scathing commentaries to easier, rather than having each of us put our names in the title.

I designed the banner, so that’s of course perfect and will stay exactly as it is. As for everything else, we are selling our words to you, the reader, so we want to know what you think!

Is there a visual style you like? Is this one perfectly acceptable? Is there some particular piece of Internet design that will make you spew appreciation all over your monitor/laptop/mobile device?

  1. I am really impressed along with your writing talents and also with the
format for your blog. Is this a paid subject or did you modify it yourself?
Anyway keep up the nice high quality writing, it’s rare to look a great blog like this one today..
